This year’s Douglas County Primary Election will be June 9
th. It will be conducted as an all mail-in election. The April 30th date for the release of ballots mailed to County active voters, prompted the Business Council to move their original forum date of May 14 up to Monday evening, May 4th.
The Business Council, Tahoe Chamber, the Carson Valley Chamber, and the Record Courier are the forum sponsors.
Details
This forum will respect all Nevada Executive Orders, CDC, and local/regional health directives. It will be a 100% virtual event with no public allowed in the Community & Senior Center building.

Special arrangements have been made for social distancing and each candidate will be seated in a separate area with a separate camera. Retired Judge, the Honorable Tom Perkins, will serve as the Moderator and ask the questions. The Business Council’s Renea Louie will open the program, followed by a video in which County Clerk-Treasurer Kathy Lewis will explain the all-mail ballot primary election procedures and key dates.
