The field portion of this training will focus on real life application from the classroom lecture and preparatory work with hands-on practice under the direction and supervision of the instructors. You can expect the following: Hike with gear for 1 mile, Review campsite selection and setup camp, Take an afternoon excursion, Practice meal prep, safe cooking, and food storage, Practice winter Leave No Trace principals including restroom use, Assure your sleep setup will be warm and safe, Hike to watch the sunset, Sleep using tricks to keep warm, Cook and eat breakfast.
