Job Description
Hotel & Cable Relations Associate in South Lake Tahoe with additional responsibilities in NLT, Truckee, CA, Reno and Carson Valley NV as well as Summit County and Vail, CO. Contracts for hotel and residential carriage, administers installations and schedules service. Develops and maintains relationships with commercial and residential carriage partners and hospitality industry leaders and associations. Develops and maintains cooperative associations with Cable, Movie Providers, Satellite and other TV service vendors. Coordinates engineer activities.  Plans and executes hotel relations promotion initiatives and public relations efforts including editorial productions. Supports efforts of co-workers in sales, production and engineering. Works to establish relationships with lodging properties to support Outside Television’s national ratings program.
  • Researches hotels and residential units for carriage. Contacts, negotiates and contracts for installation. Maintains and renews carriage agreements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with cable and other service providers of residential and commercial properties.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with carriage partners and hospitality industry leaders.
  • Coordinates and assigns engineering activities including property evaluations, installations, service calls and quality checks. Develops & administers routine & systematic procedures for quality control including quality checks.
    • Develops & executes routine and systematic procedures for ongoing promotion in hotels including, but not limited to:
Regular on-site meetings with carriage partners; distribution of trade for special events and public relations purposes; employing multiple methods of communication with key personnel (GM, M&S, Hospitality Managers & Engineers) to promote channel awareness, features and value to guests.
  • Develops & executes procedures for promotion of channel in Residential Units
  • Researches opportunities and develops promotional ventures promoting viewership
  • Maintains membership and attends meetings/social functions of the Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Concierge meetings, Chambers of Commerce and agencies critical to Carriage and Promotion of OT/LTTV. Develop cooperative initiatives with these associations.
  • Establishes and maintains lodging property relationships to support Outside Television’s national ratings program including negotiating installation of ratings device, onsite/in-room promotions, device maintenance, and customer service.
    • Establishes and maintains lodging property relationships designed to deliver Outside Television programming to properties via a number of different delivery methods. Lodging properties cable penetration:
    • Organizes and oversees Editorial features as added value benefit for carriage partners including On­ location remotes, in-studio interviews Watch and Win Promotions, Tahoe Lifestyles and dining shows or other content features.
  • Sells Advertising or Promotional productions for, but not limited to, Hotel or Residential Marketing &
Sales Videos, and Hotel Restaurants and Outlets.
  • Schedules and reports all activities, communications and outcomes in Corporate database.
  • Creates and writes posts/articles as requested for Social Media and blog/website.
  • Pursues endorsements and testimonials
  • Works in tandem with the General Manager to identify goals and created new initiatives for carriage, promotion and marketing and public relations in all markets
  • Coordinates with Outside Television’s research department and third-party software vendors to ensure network ratings program is delivered accurately.
  • Works in tandem with CA / CO General Managers and Outside Television Nielsen contact for client sales related training.
 

Job Requirements

Knowledge of the broadcast communications industry Knowledge of the area hospitality industry
